Essential Team Foundation Server Source Code Control

In this session we will drill down into the features and functions of Team Foundation Server(TFS) source code control. After a brief overview of the basics, we begin to look at what makes TFS source code control unique. We consider the details of Shelving and how it can be used for code reviews. We look at details in regards to history and “blame” (annotate) functionality. In addition to using the latest version of Visual Studio 2008, we will discuss alternatives for accessing source files. Finally, we will close with a discussion on promotion modeling – how to move code through development, test and into production.
